A Note to Parents and Grandparents:
Parenting youth and young adults can be difficult. In fact, it can be mind-boggling, frustrating, and exhausting sometimes. Many youth today are increasingly hyper-connected to peers and social media, less connected to their immediate families, and over-scheduled and committed to activities and hobbies. Many youth in this day and age, especially in Hawaii are being raised by grandparents and extended families. Instead of giving in to the chaos, please try to set time aside for family. Find a sabbath together with your teen. Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it". While we try to embrace this scripture verse, take a deep breath and check out some of these great sites.
